I wanted to pass along Final checklist for a couple recently released products in 2011-12 NHL SP Game-Used and 2012 Upper Deck Football which are attached as well. I’ve also included a Final checklist for the 2011 Upper Deck USA Football box set which releases in mid-May.
I’ve included some box images to some new products coming down the pipe which you can use at your discretion. Most have not been released before.
Next up, there is going to be more and more interest coming up around the Olympics and Upper Deck has several athletes in 2012 Goodwin Champions who will likely be competing and/or have won gold in the past. I put together a gallery of some of them and here is some background on who they are. Additionally, most of these images are of the base cards (all previously unreleased), but all are scheduled to have hard-signed autograph variations including the Barber sisters which will be a dual signed card.
Bryan Clay won gold in 2008 and Silver in 2004
Dawn Harper won gold in 2008
Jeremy Warnier won two gold medals in 2004 and gold and silver in 2008
Mikele Barber no Olympic medals but gold in 2007 World Championship
Trey Hardee no Olympic medals but gold in 2009 and 2011 World Championships
And I think you know about Chris Paul’s Olympic experience capturing gold in 2008
The biggest inquiry I’ve been getting this week however has been on 2012 SP Signature Baseball. It is a product we have been working on for months, but have kept under wraps until it was officially announced Monday. Our official statement on this product is, "We will not be releasing any information or images on the 2012 SP Signature Edition Baseball, but rather letting the product speak for itself when it releases on May 1." I would highly recommend you check out YouTube box breaks and eBay postings on May 1 when this product hits so you can see first-hand the type of premium release this is. Other than that, I cannot share any additional details on the product.
Lastly, you may have seen details on the “Trade Upper Deck” card in 2012 Upper Deck Football in the press release, but I’ve attached copies of the two versions here as well. Both will be good for a 1st round rookie quarterback card, but one will be signed (the gold version) and one will be unsigned (the silver version). These are pretty tough pulls and similar to the “Trade Upper Deck” basketball exchange card for Shaq, collectors will actually need to send these in to receive their card.
