2016 Topps Dynasty ($325 per box) arrives on Wednesday, but if you pay for it on Monday, you can get Dynasty for just $299 at Sports Cards Plus.
Once again, boxes come with just one card numbered to 10 or less. Everything is either an autographed memorabilia card or a cut signature. Needless to say, it remains at the top of Topps’ high-end portfolio.
The biggest change that collectors will notice about 2016 Topps Dynasty Baseball is the general design. This time around, players get a more traditional full-color shot. The card stock is done on a textured cotton and also includes some embossing. It’s doubtful many of the cards will actually be handled much, though, as they come encased.
Autographed Patch cards have roughly the same sized piece of game-used memorabilia as before. Base versions are numbered to 10 while parallels are limited to 5 and 1.
New On This Day Autographed Patch cards (/5) have swatches that can be tracked by MLB Authentication. Similar to the memorabilia cards in Topps Strata Baseball, these come with a numbered hologram that is attached to a database and the swatch can be tracked to a specific game.
For some retired stars where patch swatches might not be available, they’re featured on Autographed Dual Relic Greats. Like autographed patch cards, signatures are done on-card. These are numbered to 5 with a 1/1 parallel.
2016 Topps Dynasty Baseball has as many as 100 Cut Signature cards. All are one-of-ones. No more than ten Dual Relic Legend Cut Signature cards are included in the product. These pair the autograph with a couple of pieces of memorabilia.
Last year, Chris pulled a 1/1 Roberto Clemente Dual Memorabilia Autographed Cut. What will you pull?
